Swab is the only contemporary art fair founded by an art collector, which provides a unique view from the standpoint of the visitor and receiving end of the work. He proposes to break the hermetic and elitist image that often surrounds the world of contemporary art, making it more accessible to the general public.

Swab wants to be a fair where to find not see again where the works presented in other art fairs. So the selection committee, formed by gallery directors and art world professionals, not content to select the proposals received but makes a curatorial process of finding and monitoring the work of artists in any discipline that represents somehow emerging art of their countries of origin. Swab and therefore combines the participation invitation as per application.

Swab remains true to its origins and to create opportunities for market access to emerging art galleries and little known artists and curators early career, something difficult in the current situation with inbred tendencies.

Following that premise MYFAF was created in 2011, which provides an opportunity for a young gallery that has ever participated in a trade fair to present its program sponsored entirely by Swab.

Swab not only committed to the emergence in the creative field but wants to encourage the collecting, promoting initiation into practice through the participation of young artists with affordable labor. This new collecting is vital to keep the art market in our country and its continuity
