The International Creative Confectionery Fair: BCN & CAKE, celebrates its fourth edition, and this year there are some interesting developments, change of date and change of scenery. BCN & CAKE 2015 will be held during Barcelona Degusta, the food festival now in its fifth edition and will take place from 24 to 27 September in Hall 1 of Fira de Barcelona, in hall 1 and on Plaza Univers del recinto de Montjuïc located near Plaza España.

So the dates for BCN & CAKE, are from 24 to September 27, 2015, and they will also be offering creative gourmet pastries for the first time since its inception, and also running alongside Barcelona Degusta, which aims to bring food and fine dining to the general public with an educational, recreational and commercial vocation. The organizers of both events, Alimentaria Exhibitions and Mr. and Mrs. Cake, have reached a collaboration agreement that will enhance the exhibition by offering chocolates, cakes, sweets and pastries, and offer all kinds of activities and workshops for gourmet sweet lovers.

With the addition of BCN & CAKE, Barcelona Degusta leads a sector that is booming, both professionally and in the home. The “Do it yourself” fashion has also reached the food and conscious level of this trend, companies in the sector have joined its business lines, both in products and food ingredients and tools and utensils kitchen.

For its part, in its previous three editions BCN & CAKE has become a benchmark for the confectionery sector and sweet lovers alike, the exhibition is one of the most important of its type in southern Europe. The appeal of both events and its full agreement with the festival of La Merce do provide a massive influx of people.
